My 6 year old Daughter has been working with Angela for over a year now and I can say hands down she has been a lifesaver for us. She was the first one to identify that my daughter had issues with attention and probably had some Learning disabilities and encouraged us to get her tested. Turns out she was right on both fronts. Mrs. Williams is and forever will be the educator that changed our daughter’s life forever. The Take Flight program is extremely effective, but as with any program, the impact comes from the delivery. Mrs. Williams’ passion, commitment and genuine love for her students are the reasons our daughter has excelled in school and will continue to feel confident and empowered as she goes through her life’s journey.
We are so thankful that we found Ms. Angela and Away with Words for our son who has dyslexia! She is an incredible resource for learners with dyslexia and freely shares her knowledge and mastery of many resources that will help them to be successful, including the Take Flight Program. However, it is the kind, energetic, understanding, compassionate and motivating way with which she delivers this knowledge that is the greatest gift our son received. His confidence has soared along with his mastery of many reading and writing skills during the time that she has worked with him. Angela has been an invaluable addition to our son’s academic experience. Her expertise and continued education in the field really sets her apart from other teachers and tutors. As a middle school boy who struggles with dyslexia his school day is often exhausting for him, but yet he loves seeing and spending time with Angela. She has a way of teaching that helps kids with dyslexia understand concepts that were once difficult to grasp. She supports, guides, encourages and relates to our son and genuinely cares for him not only for his academic successes, but also his confidence and well being as a whole. She has walked along side us as parents who are new to the world of dyslexia and taught us how to advocate for our son and how to make sure his needs are being met and that he has the proper accommodations in school. If you understand the struggles of a child having dylexia, then you and your child need Angela with Away with Words! She has worked with my now 8 year old son for 2 years! Learning to read for my son is the hardest thing he has done his life. He had significant resistance to reading because of how hard it is. Angela has won my son over, which is not easy! We tried previous providers in the past that was not able to do this. She has been a true Angel for our family and a life line through this journey. She has the knowledge to help these children but more than that she has the heart and the ability to make it fun, engaging, and grow their confidence in their learning in an exceptional way. She goes the extra mile to coordinate with my son’s school, educate herself on the reading program he is taught there and communicates with myself and helps me understand ways to help my son!
